Get Educated About the Issue

Help Spread the Word
For us to see true justice in any campaign, it is imperative that a critical mass be reached at the grassroots level. You can help to create this critical mass in the following ways:
Become a Partner for Justice
The programs that we currently undertake for our Nike Corporate Accountability Campaign, particularly the building of the Worker Education and Resource Center in Tangerang, Indonesia and the independent documentary film cost money. To ensure that these programs continue, we need your financial support.

Empower an Athlete or Coach
We have found through our campaign that many athletes and coaches are greatly unaware of the reality that Nike workers face. If they are aware, most fear the repercussions of taking action on behalf of the workers. You can write to athletes and coaches in your community, encouraging them to learn more about the issue and empowering them to take action in solidarity with Nikes workers.
Read about an empowerment/action success story that we had this past year.
Let your voice be heard
We invite you to let your voice be heard. Please take the time to write to Nike CEO, Phil Knight and let him know how you feel about Nikes labor practices. We ask that along with your personal message to Mr. Knight, that you include the following demands, which the workers ask of Nike:
- Publicly support workers rights to organize;
- Agree to allow independent monitors into their sub-contracted factories;
- Increase Indonesian workers wages by $1USD per day;
- Disclose the locations for all of their sub-contracted factories worldwide.
Send your letters to:

Send a copy of the letter to your representative in Congress. You can find your Rep.s address by going to www.house.gov, clicking on "Write Your Representative" and entering your zip code.
E-mail Educating for Justice a copy of the letter so that we can present these letters at the next Nike shareholders meeting.
