Now booking Speaking Tours for 2001-2002
Educating for Justice is currently booking speaking engagements for its 2001-2002 speaking tour of US Universities and High Schools.
Following the success of their 2000-2001 tour that brought the stories of Nike's Indonesian workers to over 10,000 people at near 80 universities and high schools, EFJ directors, Leslie Kretzu and Jim Keady have reworked their powerful presentation to include the following NEW components:
- First hand video testimonies from Nike factory workers
- A chance run-in with Nike CEO, Phil Knight at Nike's Headquarters in Oregon
- Updated video footage of Nike's environmental abuses in Indonesia
- Updated slide shows detailing the living conditions of Nike's workers
Along with the two-hour combination multi-media presentation/question and answer session, Kretzu and Keady can also custom tailor a program for your campus to include pre-event information tabling and next-day classroom sessions.
Part of the proceeds generated by this year's tour will go towards funding the establishment of an Education and Resource Center in Tangerang, Indonesia.
