Kretzu and Keady meet with Rage Against the Machine in LA

During their stop in LA on their National Speaking Tour, Jim Keady and Leslie Kretzu were able to meet with the members of Rage Against the Machine. Rage's Political Programs Advisor, Jake Sexton, arranged the meeting.

Jim and Leslie were able to spend a few hours with lead guitarist Tom Morello before meeting the rest of the band at their practice studio. They were also lucky enough to interview Tom for the Project's upcoming documentary that is currently in post-production.

During the interview Leslie and Jim thanked Tom for the band's naming them "Freedom Fighters of the Month" for December. Tom replied, "It's real people who have their hands on the wheel of history and are the one's who can make a difference... We felt that the work that you have done in Indonesia in highlighting labor struggles and sweatshop injustices was worthy of receiving the 'Freedom Fighter of the Month' award."
